‘NO VACCINE, NO WORK POLICY’ ILLEGAL AYON SA DOLE

LABAG SA BATAS O ILLEGAL ang pagpapatupad ng anumang kumpanya o employer ng ‘no vaccine, no work’ policy, ayon sa Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

Giit ni Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III na iligal ang nasabing patakaran. 

“Yung no vaccine, no work, illegal ‘yan, bawal yan,” pahayag ni Bello sa isang panayam.

“The possible penalty is administrative penalty. It is not legal for employers to require the employee to be vaccinated before they can enter the workplace,” saad naman ng DOLE chief sa virtual forum.

“There is no legal basis. So it will be considered as illegal suspension or illegal dismissal. Whatever action the employer will give to the employee who is not yet vaccinated,” dagdag pa ng kalihim.

Nagsimula ang vaccination program sa bansa nitong Lunes gamit ang Sinovac vaccine na donasyon ng China.
