CHED, IKINAKASA ANG FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES SA ENGINEERING, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AT IBA PANG KURSO
IKINAKASA ngayon ng Commission on Higher Education (CHED) ang limited face-to-face classes sa mga kursong engineering, information technology, industrial technology, at maritime-related.
Ayon sa Higher Education ang mga nabanggit na programs ang ikinokonsidera dahil sa mga hands-on activities na hindi kayang gawin online.
Nilinaw naman ni CHED Chairman J. Prospero de Vera III, na ang pagbubukas ng klase ay nakadepende sa sitwasyon sa COVID-19.
“First, we have to see whether the first batch of those allowed limited face-to-face worked meaning we have to get data if the students are really safe if there is no infection, (and) if there is no transmission. Once the data is available, I would go to the president and ask for the next batch,” paliwanag ni de Vera.
Pahayag pa ng opisyal, sa isinagawang pilot test ng face-to-face classes sa Our Lady of Fatima University at University of the Philippines-College of Medicine, walang naitalang transmission ng COVID-19 sa mga estudyante.
“If this holds true in the more than 60 universities that have been allowed some limited face-to-face then the commission en banc will study and recommend what is the next batch,” ani de Vera.
Mababatid na nauna nang pinayagan ng CHED an limited in-person classes sa mga health-related degree programs katulad ng medicine, nursing, medical technology/medical laboratory science, physical therapy, midwifery, at public health. (With a report from Remate)
