AKLAN STATE UNIVERSITY, PINAYAGAN NA NG CHED NA MAGSAGAWA NG LIMITADONG FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES SA KURSONG NURSING

Pinayagan na ng Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Region 6 ang pagsagawa ng limitadong face-to-face classes para sa kursong Bachelor of Science in Nursing sa Aklan State University.

Naglabas kasi ngayong araw, Oktubre 15, ang CHED Region 6, ng Certificate of Authority para sa ASU matapos itong makapag-comply ng mga kinakailangang requirements sa CHED at Department of Health (DOH) sa ilalim ng Joint Memorandum Circular Number 2021-001.

Kabilang sa mga paghahandang ginawa ng ASU para sa napipintong limited F2F ay ang pagre-retrofit ng kanilang Nursing Arts Laboratory upang maging ligtas ang clinical learning ng mga mag-aaral alinsunod sa mga inilatag na panuntunan ng JMC 2021-001.

Naglagay din ng Isolation Room for Symptomatic Individuals.

Ayon kay ASU-Banga Information Officer Jonell Gregorio, nagsagawa ng online inspection sa mga pasilidad ang evaluation task force at compliant naman ito sa lahat.

“Earlier, the evaluation task force conducted an online inspection of our facilities and compliant tayo sa lahat ng areas. Then today, binigyan nang certification.

“Ibig sabihin, we are allowed to conduct limited f2f classes na starting October 18 to next year, Aug 22.”

Kaugnay nito, sinabi naman ni Dr. Emily Arangote, SUC III, na intensyon talaga nila na ipasa ang limited F2F classes dahil kailangan nito ng maraming lab practice.

“It’s really our intention for our BS Nursing program to pass the limited face-to-face classes assessment knowing that this program needs more lab practice.

“This pandemic will not stop ASU from being at par with other SUCs in the country,” lahad niya.

Ang BS Nursing program ay nag-aalok ng limited face-to-face classes sa Level III at IV students para sa kanilang Related Learning Experience (RLE) classes.

Magandang balita ito para sa mga estudyante dahil ayon kay Sean Michael Cuare, Presidente ng Student Nurses Organization, “Sometimes, lecture is not enough for us to understand the skill better so it is really an amazing opportunity to at least simulate [learning] in a mock clinical setting.”
