DAHIL SA CORONAVIRUS, DEPED AKLAN PINAGPALIBAN ANG WESTERN VISAYAS MEET 2020

Kalibo, Aklan – Nagdesisyon ang Department of Education (DepEd) Aklan na ipagpaliban muna ang 2020 Western Visayas Regional Athletic Association (WVRAA) dahil umano sa NcoV.

Nakatakda sana ang WVRAA meet sa February 15 -22 pero ni-reschedule ito sa susunod na buwan dahil sa banta ng coronavirus.

Nag-ugat umano ang desisyon matapos ang pagpupulong nila Aklan governor Florencio Miraflores, Aklan Schools Division Superintendent Miguel Mac Aposin at Aklan sports committee.

“We have rescheduled the WVRAA as advised of health authorities to a later date considering the present situation where the province of Aklan is still addressing the n-Cov,” saad Aposin.

Ayon sa DepEd Aklan, pag-uusapan pa nila bukas (February 5) ang naturang desisyon sa Regional Management Committee (Mancom) meeting.

Inaasahang darating sa probinsya ang mahigit 6000 na delegasyon mula sa Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, Aklan, Iloilo at Negros Occidental.

Huling hinawakan ng probinsya ang hosting nga taunang kompetisyon noong 2015. Ang tema ngayong taon ay WVRAA is Region VI: Sustaining School Sports Supremacy.
