Posibleng re-study sa carrying capacity ng Boracay, malaking tulong sa LGU-Malay

Binigyan-diin ni DENR Sec. Roy Cimatu na malaking tulong para sa lokal na pamahalaan ng Malay kung muling mapag-aaralan ang carrying capacity sa isla ng Boracay.

Ito ang naging bahagi ng mensahe ni Cimatu sa isinagawang Culminating Celebration ng Boracay Inter-Agency Task Force Boracay sa Balabag, Wetland Park ( Wetland No.4) sa isla.

Ani Cimatu,”Ang formula kasi na ginamit d’yan, it was the carrying capacity noon kasi, it was studied by the Research Bureau of DENR and also a team coming from the University of the Philippines. They revised the study into what we have now, the carrying capacity of 19, 200, something… now what if this will be exceeded later? When maraming pupunta dito, then ano ‘yong gagawin natin”?

“So I would like to advice… or sugget to make this study immediately. In fact, I heard from my fellow triumvirate, si Sec. Puyat that she will recommend for the study, for possible re-study of the carrying capacity so that, that will probably help the local government in anticipating a sudden increase of tourist for Boracay,” dagdag pa nito.

Sa pamamagitan din aniya nito ay mas marami pang turista ang mahihikayat na bisitahin ang tanyag na Boracay Island.

Samantala, pinasalamatan din ni Cimatu ang lahat dahil sa matagumpay na Boracay Rehabilitation.
