SP member Gallenero nais mabigyang prayoridad ang mga pinaalis na residente sa wetland no. 6 sa isla ng Boracay sakaling gawin itong tourism market

Nais ni Sangguniang Panlalawigan member Jupiter Aelred Gallenero mabigyang prayoridad ang mga pinaalis na residente sa wetland number 6 sa partikular sa barangay Manoc-manoc sa isla ng Boracay sakaling gawin itong tourism market.

Kasunod ito ng ipinasang urgent request ni Governor Joen Miraflores sa Sangguniang Panlalawigan na mabigyan siya ng authority sa pag-apply ng Forest Land Agreement for Tourism purposes (FLAgT) para sa Boracay Tourism Market ng naturang wetland number 6.

Ayon kay Gallenero, bago pa man paalisin ang mga nakatira sa nasabing bahagi ng isla dahil sa Proclamation No. 1064, may iilang residente na ang nagsasabing mayroon silang Tax Declaration at sila ang nagbabayad ng buwis sa lupang kanilang tinitirahan.

Dahil dito, hiniling ni Gallenero na kung sakaling gawin itong tourism market ay sana man lang mabigyan ng opurtunidad ang mga dating nakatira dito na magkaroon din ng pwesto na mapagpatayuan nila ng negosyo.

Binigyan-diin ni Gallenero na simula ng paalisin sila sa lugar, wala pa sila nabigyan ng relocation.

“But I would like to manifest that those individual who are staying in wetland no. 6 before they were ejected because of the proclamation 1064 that this area belongs to the government. But for I know, those who are living there they have also ther tax declaration saying that the are the one paying for the tax of that land but because of the proclamation 1064, which declared that wetland number 6 is a government property so they were ejected. So a lot of families were ejected on that area. So I would like to manifest that if given priority with regards with the project of our provincial government that wetland no. 6 will be develop as tourism market. I would like to manifest that those who are ejected on that area must be given priority… to put up stalls or whatever that they can have also an income. Because I know that there were ejected on that area but still they don’t have any relocation,” pahayag ni SP member Gallenero sa session ng Sangguniang Panlalawigan.
