Brutal na pagpatay kay Cpl. Frederick Villasis, kinondena ng RTF6-ELCAC

Mariing kinondena ng Regional Task Force Region 6 to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (RTF6-ELCAC) ang brutal na pagpatay kay Army Corporal Frederick Villasis nitong Miyerkoles ng mga miyembro ng CPP-NPA.

Sinabi ng tagapagsalita ng RTF6-ELCAC na si Asst. Provincial Prosecutor Flosemer Chris Gonzales na mananagot sa batas ang nasa likod ng aniya isang “barbaric and inhumane act”.

Nagpaabot naman ng pagpupugay ang task force sa kabayanihan ng sundalo at pasasalamat sa mga sakripisyo nito.

Mensahe ni Gonzales sa taumbayan ng Tapaz na huwag patitinag sa nangyari para patuloy na magkaisa at maabot ang kapayaan sa komunidad.

Nabatid na si Villasis na nakatalaga sa Brgy. Lahug, Tapaz, Capiz ay sakay ng kaniyang motorsiklo angkas ang isang kagawad ng barangay nang sila’y harangin ng mga armadong indibidwal saka dinukot ang biktima.

Kalaunan ay natagpuan ang sundalo sa nasabing lugar na nakagapos ang mga kamay sa likuran at may mga tama ng pagbaril sa katawan. Nabatid na sinunog pa ang kaniyang motorsiklo.

STATEMENT OF CONDEMNATION on the Execution of CPL FREDERICK V VILLASIS by Communist Terrorists

The RTF6-ELCAC strongly condemns the brutal execution of Army Corporal FREDERICK V VILLASIS earlier today by members of the CPP-NPA Terrorist Organization.

Cpl Frederick V Villasis is a member of the Army’s Community Support Program Sustainment Team based in Barangay Lahug, Tapaz, Capiz.

Earlier today, August 11, 2021, Cpl Villasis together with Lahug Brgy Councilor Analyn Giganto and Estong Sumaria while onboard two (2) motorcycles going to the Tapaz Municipal Hall to coordinate and follow-up the water system project for the barangay were intercepted by CPP-NPA terrorists in the vicinity of Sitio Owa, Brgy Lahug, Tapaz, Capiz.

The NPA terrorists then tied the hands of Cpl Villasis at his back while the two civilians were made to lie down.

Cpl Villasis, who was helpless then, was brutally murdered by the NPA terrorists.

This is clearly an act of terror designed to undermine the peace efforts of the government in the hinterland barangays of Tapaz, Capiz.

This barbaric and inhumane act will not go unpunished. Those responsible will be held accountable and shall be brought to the bars of justice.

Clearly, the CPP-NPA terrorist organization is desperate. They are resorting to cowardly acts of terrorism, senseless murder, and shameless violation of all human rights protocols.

By this act, the CPP-NPA has shown its true colors. That they are terrorists to the core and that peace is not possible until and unless every last CPP-NPA terrorist has surrendered or has been neutralized.

To the family of the late Army Corporal Frederick V Villasis, tanggapin po ninyo ang aming taos pusong pasasalamat at pagpupugay sa kabayanihan ng inyong anak at kapatid.

Cpl Villasis made the ultimate sacrifice in the altar of freedom. He may have gone from our midst but his heroism will always be remembered.

Rest easy, soldier. Your sacrifice will not be forgotten.

To the people of Tapaz, Capiz, let us not let this incident hinder us from working together to attain genuine and sustainable peace in our communities.

All acts of terrorism committed by the CPP-NPA terrorist organization will only alienate the masses, the people in the communities, and the Filipino people.

Again, the RTF6-ELCAC denounces the CPP-NPA for the murder of Army Corporal Frederick V Villasis.
