Bride namatay sa mismong kasal, kapatid naging instant bride

Naging instant bride ang isang babae sa hindi inaasahang insidente na nangyari sa Etawah, Bharthana sa Uttar Pradesh.

Biglang nalugmok at namatay ang nakatatandang kapatid ni Nisha na si Surabni habang nakikipagpalitan ng pangako ng pagmamahalan sa nobyong si Manjesh Kumar.

Ayon sa doktor, sakit sa puso ang dahilan ng pagkamatay nito.

Sa kabila ng pagkabigla, tuloy pa rin ang kasalan nang magkasundo ang magkabilang panig na gawing bride si Nisha bilang kapalit ni Surabni.

Tinanggap naman ni Nisha ang alok dahil sa sitwasyon.

Ayon sa kapatid nilang lalaki na si Saurabh, “We did not know what to do in the situation. Both the families sat together and someone suggested that my younger sister Nisha should be married to the groom. The families discussed the matter and both agreed. The body of Surabhi was kept in one room, while the marriage of the groom with Nisha was held and after the ‘baraat’ left, Surabhi’s last rites were conducted.”

Matapos ang kasalan, isinunod agad ang ritwal para sa kamatayan ni Surabni.

“It was a tough call for our family. One daughter lay dead in one room and the wedding of another daughter was being solemnized in the other room. We have never witnessed such mixed emotions. The grief over her death and the happiness of the wedding have yet to sink in,” saad naman ng kanilang tiyuhin na si Ajab Singh.
