TINANGGAL na ng gobyerno ng Denmark ang lahat ng COVID-19 restrictions sa kanilang bansa sa kabila ng banta ng Omicron variant.

Hindi na magpapatupad ng mandatory na pagsuot ng indoor facemask, Covid pass sa mga bars, restaurants, indoor venues at legal na obligasyong mag self-isolate kung nagpositibo sa COVID-19 sa bansang Denmark.

“No one can know what will happen next December. But we promised the citizens of Denmark that we will only have restrictions if they are truly necessary and we’ll lift them as soon as we can,” pahayag ni Danish Health Minister Magnus Heunicke sa CNN nitong Lunes.

Mababatid na ang Denmark ang kauna-unahang bansa sa European union na nag-tanggal ng restristions.

Ayon sa Our World in Data, 81% sa populasyon ng Denmark ay fully vaccinated na laban sa COVID-29.

Samantala nang tanungin ang Health Minister kaugnay sa vaccine mandates, sagot ni Heunicke: “Luckily we don’t need that in Denmark … I’m really happy that we don’t need it because it’s a very troubling path to move that way.”

“I do not believe in imposed vaccine mandates. It’s a pharmaceutical intervention with possible side effects. You need as an authority to recognize that. I think if you push too much, you will have a reaction — action generates reaction, especially with vaccines,’ paliwanag ng Health Minister.

Magugunitang, una nang inalis ng Denmark ang lahat na restrictions noong September 2021, ngunit kalaunan ay binalik ito dahil sa third wave ng COVID-19.
