BARANGAY AT SK ELECTIONS NAIS I-POSTPONE SA MAY 2023 – COMELEC, DILG

Nais ng pangunahing ahensya ng gobyerno na ipagliban ang barangay at SK elections sa 2023 upang mabigyan ng mas maraming oras ang paghahanda sa poll.

Inimungkahi ng mga kinatawan ng Commission on Elections, The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), at mga federation heads sa Senate Committee on Electoral Reforms, na nais nilang isagawa ang barangay elections isang taon matapos ang presidential elections na gaganapin sa May 2022.

“Our preference is it should not be the same year of our national elections. It could be done one year before or one year after… so that it won’t coincide,” wika ni Efraim Bag-id, officer-in-charge ng COMELEC Campaign Finance Office, sa naganap na hearing.
