Pres. Duterte, nag isyu ng EO sa Balik Probinsya, Bagong Pag-asa Program

Nilagdaan na ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte nitong Miyerkules ang pagpapatupad ng Balik Probinsya, Bagong Pag-asa Program na ang layunin ay paluwagin ang Metro Manila at isulong ang mas matatag na regional development.

Sa ilalim ng Executive Order, ang itatatag na council ay pamumunuan ng Executive Secretary at ang magiging vice-chairperson naman ay ang Socio-Economic Planning Secretary.

Kasama sa mga miyembro nito ang mga secretaries ng interior and local government, social welfare and development, agriculture, agrarian reform, trade and industry, labor and employment, health, information and communications technology, finance, budget and management, public works and highways, transportation, tourism, human settlements and urban development, environment and education.

Samantala ang ibang miyembro naman ay chairperson ng Commission of Higher Education, director general of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority at mga heads ng Mindanao Development Authority and Cooperative Development Authority.

Ang council ng Balik Probinsya, Bagong Pag-asa ay kailangang magsumite ng bi-annual report sa implementasyon ng programa sa pangulo.

Batay sa naturang programa, papalakasin nito ang local industries, food security at agricultural productivity; social welfare, health at employment, maging ang imprastraktura ay papaunlarin din.
