Skateboarding Park na nagkakahalagang 38.97 milyong piso, ipapatayo sa Aurora

Magpapatayo ang Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) ng skateboarding park sa Baler, Aurora na nagkakahalagang 37.97 milyong piso.
Bahagi umano ito ng pagsisikap ng pamahalaan na linangin ang potensyal ng mga kabataan sa sports at pag-ibayuhin ang lokal na turismo at ekonomiya.
Sa pakikipagtulungan ng Aurora District Engineering Office, sisimulan ng ng DPWH ang pagpapatayo ng skateboard park na may lawak na 6,561.10-square-meter.
Magkakaroon ito ng malapad na parking area, administrative office, view deck, grandstand na may 400-seating capacity, common park, at rea, administrative office, view deck, skate park.
Ayon kay District engineer Roderick Andal, maaaring gamitin ang mga pasilidad sa tuwing may malalaking sporting events sa probinsya.
“This outdoor park is designed not only for the enjoyment of local skateboard enthusiasts but it can also be used as a venue for national skateboarding competitions. It features skating obstacles for beginners, intermediate and professional skateboarders, and will be equipped with CCTVs (closed-circuit television), sound systems, water supply, standby power supply, athlete lockers, and public toilets for the convenience of our athletes and park visitors,” ani Andal sa kanyang social media post.
Kinikilala umano niya ang kahalagahan ng modernong sports facilities upang mahasa at madebelop ang mga atletang nakabase sa Aurora.
“We recognize the importance of strengthening the potential of our youth in sports by constructing facilities that will definitely help improve their skills. We also believe that (the) sports facility, when completed, will boost the spirit of our aspiring athletes and many more people will be attracted to play sports,” dagdag pa ni Andal.
